Private beach club questions & recommendation in Tirrenia

Will be taking the train from Rome to Vernazza and would like to spend the afternoon at the beach in Tirrenia. I know there are private beach clubs that will rent chairs and umbrellas. As we will be traveling with backpacks, I'm wondering if we can rent a private changing room as a place to store our packs. Can you also rent beach towels? This would save us space and the hassle of having to pack them around with us.

If you have any recommendations for which beach club to visit in Tirrenia, I'd love to hear about it. Would like to be somewhat central to the main drag (Via Belvedere).

Grazie!

Hi, is this a day trip? It is over 6 hours travel time back and forth to Rome for one day at the beach? Are you continuing the trip up in the north but just stopping at the beach for the day before checking into a hotel? There are beaches in Ostia that are 25 minutes from Rome. Unless you staying up in the Pisa area I cannot imagine going up there for one day and back to Rome. You can see if Vernazza has a luggage storage area. A daypack cannot be stored/checked anywhere on any beach (not in the U.S. either.)..so take what little you need and keep an eye on it. As for changing facilities, if you rent a spot at a beach club they will have a small changing room, usually an outdoor shower to hose off the sand and sea. I always, no matter where in the world I am going, travel with a lightweight sarong to use as a ground cloth, take a micro gym towel with you a small to medium one for drying off then use the sarong to relax on. You can always lock your bags together and to the large beach chair and just face your chair when you are in the water.

We are taking a morning train from Rome to Vernazza. The plan is to stop in Tirrenia for the afternoon along the way. My wife and I spent the summer of 1991 working near Tirrenia, so it is a bit sentimental for us. Would like to revisit, show the kids, etc. Back then we didn't have to worry about storing bags and that sort of thing. And, things change in 25 years, so wondering what it's like now. I figure we'll get to Tirrenia about 1pm, spend a couple hours, then continue to Pisa for a couple hours before heading to Vernazza.

Tirrenia or anywhere too close to the estuary of the Arno river or the Port of Livorno would not be my first choice in Tuscany, but if it has a sentimental value to you, then go ahead.

The Italian word for those Beach concession is "Bagno".
Bagno Tirrenia
Bagno Laura
Bagno Europa
are in the order the highest rated by Tripadvisor among those walking distance from via Belvedere. Bagno Tirrenia is the closest.

They rent changing cabins and even a safe for your valuables, if you need. Beach towels I'm not sure, maybe they have them for sale, but for sure there will be plenty of shops around where you can buy them for just a few Euro. You can take them with you to the Cinque Terre if you want.

If you know the area, you should know that there is no train station in Tirrenia. You will need to take a bus from either Livorno or Pisa.
