What is the best private transfer service from FCO to Cortona? What should I expect to pay for each way to and from airport

We have used Rome Cabs (yes, a private car service despite the name) a number of times from FCO to Rome itself and have always been happy with the service and pricing. We just send an email stating our needs and get a reply within 24 hours. Not sure what the price for your trip will be, but based on our experiences, it will be competitive with other car services. If they can't schedule you, don't hesitate to ask for a referral to another company. We would not hesitate to follow their advice. Google them and see what you think.

You will have to ask for a quote but it will very expensive.
The longest set fare I see quoted is to at ~130e and it's only 42km from FCO. Cortona is over 5x further than at 230km away from Rome FCO. I can't imagine it will be 5x as much but I would assume it would be at least 300e and probably more. I did see one Cortona tourist site that estimated the same ~350e for transportation from FCO.

OR you could manage to get to the Terontola-Cortona station on an 11:53 train or any random one going to Florence and get a car from there?
