Prices are for 2?

Hi, I see there are options to pay extra to go single. Does that mean that all prices are for a pair of travelers? Is that the cost Each or for the pair? As in if it says 3200, does it cost that for 2, or is it 6400 for the two?

You need to be a little more precise as to what you are asking? Sounds like you are looking at cruises or tours. Generally there is a single supplement that is on top of the quote price for just one person. The quote price is per person but with two people in the room. Single person might have to pay 3200 and a single supplement of 500 where each person is $3200. Hotels rooms in Europe are priced different than the US. Almost always the pricing is per person and not per room.

It means it is 3200 per person as it is double occupancy in the hotel rooms. There is a slightly higher charge if are traveling by yourself.

Bill, Based on your wording, I'm assuming you're referring to Rick Steves tours? My reply is based on that assumption. Which tour are you looking at? The prices listed for tours are per person. Single travellers pay the same cost, but have the option either sharing a room with someone of the same gender OR paying the "single supplement" and having their own room. If there's more than one single traveller of the same gender on any particular tour, these are rotated so that no one has to "room" with the same person for the entire tour. While the cost of RS tours may seem higher than some of the competition, a lot of extras are included and these also include all gratuities for the Guide, Driver and local Guides. With RS tours, there are no "surprises" at the end of the tour! Cheers!

Sometimes you hit it lucky,, if there are three singles and you end getting a room to yourself sometimes. On the one tour I took we had a single fellow( bit odd since it was a "Family Tour") but he only had to share a room about 1/2 the time with the assistant guide, sometimes he got his own room.
