We will be traveling in Italy this April. Part of our trip will be by rental car. Has anyone been to Italy recently that knows the current price of petrol??? Thank you!

According to the AA, the average price for regular unleaded in January for Italy has been 1.33 Euro per litre, and about 1.29 Euro for a litre of diesel. At current exchange rates, that works out to be about $7.40 and $7.20/gallon, respectively

Don't forget there is a difference between "old" desiel and "new" desiel. It has to do with new cars and emissions I think. Also - new desiel costs more.
