Pre Trip Lodging Amsterdam

Contacted Hotel on the 20 Mar 2013 to stay there the night before our trip starts (15 Jun 2013) I have not heard back as of the 29 Mar 2013. I read the best way was by email or FAX. Should I email them again? Thanks Greg

Gregory, Which hotel are you trying to contact? Are you taking a RS tour, and is this a hotel that's used by the tour? It's a bit unusual that you haven't heard anything in 10 days?

Ambassador City Centre Hotel Email: [email protected] Web: http://www.acc-hotel.nl
It is an RS tour on the starting leg. I have added the email address in our safe contacts. I have not called yet, I read the best way was to email or FAX, If needed I will call. Thank you Greg

Fax? Who uses fax these days? Call them. All hotels in heavily touristic areas of the Netherlands have staff that speak excellent English.

If you're hesitating about calling Amsterdam because of the cost, there are several services that cut the cost, without having to sign up for any ongoing plan. And these work on your phone, so you don't have to use your computer (as you do with Skype). Two are 10-10-987 and 101-6868. If you are going to be making more frequent calls, two services to investigate are Penny Talk and One Suite. These are cheaper than the two services above, but require signing up and pre-paying.
