We will be taking a cruise from Venice on October 23rd. Plan to arrive there by train on the 21st. We are 2 women in our 60's. Looking for suggestions on hotels with proximity to either the cruise ship terminal or the train station. I think it would easier with our luggage. Thanks in advance for any help.

Remember to keep your luggage as small as possible. The train station ends at the Grand Canal so you can easily take public transit to your hotel if it is in the general area. Check with the hotel for specific directions. Any of the hotels in the Steves' guidebook would work.

For the same reasons as you we chose Hotel S. Lucia for April and it was already booked..only 9 rooms. Now we are staying at our second choice Al Potico. Hope this helps
