Pre-booking private water taxi in Venice - question re timing

We are flying into Venice from Paris on May 30, and our flight is scheduled to land around 4:15pm (if on time).

I was thinking of pre-booking the private water taxi online. We would likely have 1-2 checked bags, would it be safe to put 5pm (1700) as the water taxi pick up time, would that give us generally enough time to get luggage and find the water taxi launch point?

I know I will be adding my flight info to the booking so they will probably be monitoring for late flight arrivals already.

Any hints or advice would be appreciated.

I think so or maybe 5:30- depends how long it takes to deplane- how big of a plane is it?
- and they will monitor your flight.

It's about a 10 min walk to the taxi dock

We always take a bus into the island or take a taxi with wheels. They don't cost $120 one way. Even the vaporetto is 15 Euros each--more expensive.

The plane holds about 160 passengers. Maybe I'll split the difference and go with 1715. We did consider alternate transit from the airport and decided to splurge. It's our first time to Venice and we want to really experience a special arrival to the island.

5:00 is too early, and yes they do monitor the flights. It’s quite a walk from the airport to the boats so be prepared to roll your luggage all the way.

Last year, I traveled at the same time you are to Venice and arranged for a water taxi through our flat rental agency. We provided the flight number and arrival time to reserve our booking. When we arrived at the desk, they were ready for us. It is a little walk to the docks and I will say after a long flight it was great to have the transport ready. A bonus for us is the a rental agency rep met us at the dock and escorted us to the flat. When you book, the water taxi should be able to have the taxi ready based on the flight information and arrival time.
