Post-Christmas in Firenze

Hi all! We are thinking about going back to Florence the week between Christmas and New Years, 2025. We intentionally are thinking about Florence instead of Rome, due to the big Jubilee ceremony on Jan 6, 2026.
Wondered how closed down Florence is between Christmas and New Years? I believe most museums are open but wondering about restaurants. We typically spend time in Oltrarno on our visits. Thanks!

Restaurants will largely be open every day. However they might be busy on Christmas day, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve night, New Year's Day, so reservations are suggested.

Many shops will be closed on Christmas day and New Year's Day, but the historical center is very busy, so some might decide to open. December 26 (St. Steven) is an observed Catholic holiday also, but since it's a Friday, probably most shops will be open, especially in the historical city center.
