Do you have to register for Reserving a spot for Borghese Gallery? The online registration form is asking some personal information including birth date, Birth country, cell phone and home address. I would like not disclose them if possible.

Yes, you have to enter all the personal information that the website indicates is mandatory. You cannot enter without an advance reservation. And you get exactly two hours. Then they clear everybody out and then the next group may enter. They surely will ask for your ticket and your passport. Do not leave your passport in your hotel room. Do not risk just carrying a photocopy. If the information you entered doesn't match your passport, there is a high chance they won't let you enter. I don't remember what I had to enter. I was there in July 2017. It is rather unlikely somebody will steal your identity from buying an advance museum ticket. Credit and debit card fraud probably is not about somebody stealing your information directly. It is probably about using complex software to just guess on information and sometimes they randomly pick you. You entered your personal information when you bought your plane tickets and when you applied for your passport and nothing bad happened.

I didn't really feel like giving yet another entity all my personal data either. And so I booked our entry tickets through Crown Tours via the Get Your Guide booking portal. These were just entry tickets, not a tour. Someone met us out front with our tickets. Easy Peasy.
And yes, it cost more. But not alot.
