Possible convent/monastery stays in Rome

Hi! I posted a while back about a possible trip to Florence -- well, it's all booked now(!!) and thanks to the helpful suggestions on this forum, I decided to fly into/out of Rome. Three friends decided to join me and we're arriving in Rome on November 14th, then heading up to Florence that afternoon, then back to Rome on the morning of the 19th and leaving from Fiumicino Airport on the evening of the 20th. I chose an Airbnb rental for Florence since we will be there longer, the price was better, and I really wanted access to my own kitchen. But for Rome, I was thinking about staying at a monastery or convent for the one night we're there both for the atmosphere and the lower price. We obviously have very little time in Rome, but I would really love to see at least a couple of the bigger sights -- in particular I know I'm interested in the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon.

So, I'm wondering, does anyone have any recommendations for a budget-friendly convent or monastery that's not too far from the major sights?

I also just wanted to say thank you for the enthusiasm and the great help that I got on my last post here. Everyone's advice was so wonderfully helpful and encouraging, and really helped strengthen my determination to make this dream trip happen.

Use monastery stays website. Yes they are spartan but locations cannot be beat. Eat breakfast out.

use monastery stays.com. We have used them twice and stayed at Santa Luca Fillipini, great location and nice rooms. I would take away one evening from Florence and stay at least 2 in Rome, there is so much to see and do there.

Thank you both! Much appreciated. And although I'd love to spend more time in Rome, Florence has been my dream for a long time so I'm maximizing my time there. :) I hope to come back another time and give Rome its due.
