Positano to Florence EARLY MORNING.....HELP!!!!!!

Hello!! :-)

Requesting everyone's help with this.....PLEASE!!!!
We would like to arrive in Florence around Noon, so that we still have a decent amount left in the day to explore Florence, but we are having a hard time finding, affordable, transport out of the city (Positano) for this. If we can reach Naples by 830a, we can catch a train to Florence by 11:30a.

Besides an expensive private transfer to Naples early in the morning (to catch the 830a train), are there any other services available that early?
If not, can anyone recommend any other ideas? Are there any late night services to Naples perhaps, where we could stay the night before instead of leaving in the morning?

Easy. Just don't stay in Positano the night before. It's not the easiest place to try to get somewhere when you're in a hurry. And what's the point of paying a premium just so you have to get up at the crack of dawn and rush? Stay overnight in Naples so you can easily catch the 8:30 am train.

Is there a late night transfer to Naples or even Sorrento( Do you think that would work as well)? That way we dont loose a day in Positano?

Check the SITA bus schedule to Sorrento...it may be crowded though, depending on your trip date.

How many days do you already have in Positano? It doesn't really require multiple days, it's tiny.

How are you getting to Positano? From your comments it seems it is not an 'expensive private transfer.'

Just use that to go to Naples the evening before and spend the night in Naples

Hello Everyone...Thanks for your responses!!

We are only 3 days in Positano....and.....we are taking a shuttle bus from Rome to Positano

I'd double-check with shuttle service where it goes in Naples? It looks like it only goes to the airport and not to Centrale. Doesn't mean that you can't get to the train station via taxi or bus but would be good to know in advance?

The shuttle bus shows an option to click on if you are going to the train station vs the airport......

You're right, Jenny. I just saw that when I tried to do a dummy booking. DUH!
What I can't find is how to change winter timing to summer in the dropdown, or what the est. time of arrival is in Naples for each departure. Any ideas?

BTW, I checked the SITA schedule, just in case, and it looks like the first bus from Positano to Sorrento doesn't arrive there until 8:00 AM so no go. Hope the shuttle works!
