A good starting point is www.vrbo.com. There are many listings for Sorrento, which makes a great base for seeing everything from Naples to Amalfi.

I agree. We rent through vrbo and have had positive results each time, Venice, Florence, and Sorrento.

PS: You can also try Home Away which is vrbo's parent company as they have lots of rentals in Europe, too.
