We are taking the ferry from sorrento with luggage to positano for the day and then a ferry back to Naples - the porters are just there on the dock? And we can store luggage with them for the day? Do i need to schedule this in advance?

Also note that ferries can not dock at Positano if water is not calm or weather is inclement.
