I'm a writer and I plan to stay in Positano from April 29th thru May 27 writing. I'm on a budget so I'm looking for a nice but cheap place/room to stay. Any suggestions?

Could you define "Budget" in terms of Euro per week, day or month that you are willing to spend? Keep in mind that Positano is the most expensive village in the Amalfi Coast.

Thanks so much for your response. I can afford from April 29th-May 25th (26 days) about 74Euro a day.

Dianne, You might try www.ownerdirect.com/accommodation/positano, www.airbnb.com/ or similar websites. The average visitor to Positano is probably looking for more "conventional" lodgings such as hotels, so there may not be as many private rooms or similar low cost facilities in that market. You would have a better chance if it was a group of at least 4 who could share a 2 bd apartment. But one person only is stuck with a hotel or B&B. Although you might find private residences that offer a bedroom in their house for less. This is a cheaper place that a friend of mine gave me (she works for a bank and she asked her colleagues in the Positano branch).
