Positano "insider tips" for first-timers?

My new wife and I will be arriving in Positano in two days as part of our honeymoon which has me thinking...

What are some helpful bits of information for first-timers to Positano?

The things you'd tell your friends if they were going?

Hidden gem restaurants?

Unique shops?

Great places for an apertivo?

Awesome lookouts and panoramas?

How to best secure a beach chair?

What to bring and/or buy there?

Day trips that are worth it - and overrated ones?

I am sure many of these questions have been asked here over the years but curious as to the current answers.

Thanks in advance!

Congrats on your wedding. Positano is a fun town where you pretty much walk to enjoy it.
On Via Cristoforo Columbo is Bar Bruno where you sit at a table on the sidewalk overlooking the ocean, great for lunch.
Just up the street from Bar Bruno around the corner is MELA an upscale fine dining restaurant.
The restaurants that line the beach are quite good and fun. Tres Sorrele for example. Away from the center of town is an
excellent restaurant La Taverna Leone. The owner will pick you up in his van and drive you back after dinner.
There are numerous shops to spend your Euro.
Your new bride can have a pair of sandals made while she waits, not cheap!
The beach is lined with boaters that can bring you to Capri for the day.
You did not mention the month you are going. From Mid October on to spring many things shut down.
Good Luck

Ditto on Bar Bruno! Don’t sit inside, sit outside with a view. Also, there is a place called Franco’s, which is perfect for Happy Hour. It’s just down the street from Le Sirunese Hotel, I think it’s owned by them. Go early to get a good seat, it’s small. Spectacular views, you will want a picture. Very chic.

I loved my Capri Watch, I get compliments on it all the time. There are many choices. I also go a huge Swarovski ring ...I mean HUGE. I wish I could reminder the store, but you should see it walking up from the bottom when you meander the stores.

Bring or buy some water shoes..,the rocks at the beach hurt. It’s not hard to secure a good seat, you’ll have to pay though.

I enjoy Fornillo Beach more than the main beach - you might want to at least check it out.

Jeepers beat me to it. I haven't been in years, and was only there for part of a day, but the most memorable thing about Positano was just how hilly and vertical it was.
