We will be in Positano mid-March for 48 hours. I have heard it can be a ghost town with everything closed. I am looking for 2 things:
1. recommendations of things to do, during this time that will be open. I was hoping if the weather cooperates do a boat tour.
2. Restaurants people know will be open.
Thank you.
We were in Positano in late March in 2023. Easter was earlier that year, we were in Positano the week before. It certainly was not a ghost town. Some of the big hotels were not yet open, and some of the shops were closed, but there were still plenty of restaurants and shops open for us to enjoy. We had a little rain and a fair amount of sun, but it wasn't really warm enough to enjoy the beach. The boat tours were also not open yet, but I think there were some ferries operating.
We had a fantastic meal at La Tagliata (the shuttle ride up to the restaurant was quite the experience!). You'll have to check when they reopen for the season. Email address is on their website. https://www.latagliata.com/contact-us
We stayed in an apartment through booking.com. https://www.booking.com/Share-XnrbLsq
This was our "vacation from our vacation" stop, so we weren't really looking for a lot of activities. We just enjoyed a little relaxation and good food. It was great for that!
