Positano in July

Is it THAT crowded in July that I should secure dinner reservations now? So far I booked Capri for a day and mozzarella making in Ravello one evening. We are there for 4 days. I booked 3 restaurants just to have in place but may cancel - Da Gabrisa, La Taverna del Leone, Restaurant Bruno.

Yes, it will be crowded. Be prepared to wait at places that grab your imagination, or make reservations at places someone else recommends. Me? I'd rather wait or make reservations for the next night. The dinner experience in Italy is not the same as going to Denny's or Pizza Hut. Make it an evening you will talk about for years to come - or at least until you come back to Italy!
