My friends have gone every year since forever (me jealous? nah) and they said last year it got quite crazy, so they've already started calling restaurants for reservations in July. And you know what, stuff is already starting to book up. This is one of those places where there's no easy way to eat lunch or dinner during you stay unless you have a reservation. Traveler beware.

We are staying in Positano for three nights March 30-April 2. I understand some places may not open until April 1. Do you have any recommendations for restaurants that are open prior to April 1? We are looking forward to fresh seafood and other local specialties and are not opposed to taking a taxi if we need to for something special. Thanks!

My standard Positano recommend is Elizabeth at Blue Star, I'm sure she would be glad to share info. You could also try reaching out to Nicki Positano but I don't think she responds to many emails.
