Positano Accomadations

Has anyone stayed at Villa Rosa in Positano? Is it in a good location or too far away from the main hub? Does anyone have recommendations for this town that you especially loved?

We stayed at the Villa Rosa in September... It was very nice and the views were amazing. We liked the location. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was delivered to your room in the morning. Eating on the balcony overlooking the coast was wonderful. They even let us drop our luggage off the day before on the way down to Paestum and it was waiting in our room when we checked in. If you are driving, they have arrangements with a parking lot and it's valet service. The location is directly across the street from the Le Sirenuse and was in the middle of the hill. The walk down to the shore wasn't bad. The walk up can be a little tough when tired. There are paths and stairs. There is a bus that circles around the town that you can use if you don't want to walk it. If you eat at the restaurant associated with the hotel (it was good), they will drive you both directions.

La Tavalozza, from Rick's guidebook. Celeste is marvelous, it is a few doors down from La Sirenuse, has a wonderful view, balcony, and the price is reasonable.
