I am taking a cruise next year in October, with port stops at Portofino and La Spezia. I’m trying to do some research as to excursions or what I can see/arrange on my own. I would like to see Cinque Terra. I know, not ideal with crowds, but probably my only opportunity to see it. I’m thinking boat or ferry tour of all villages with maybe a stop at one or two. I believe La Spezia maybe the easiest to access CT from. If I do that, what do you recommend for the day in Portofino?
If it is fairly easy to also do CT by ferry from Portofino, I might consider a daytrip to Lucca from La Spezia if you think that is reasonable.
