For those who have been there, what kinds of things are there to do when in Portoferraio besides the beach. We will be there in cooler weather for two nights and one day while on the Best of Tuscany tour. I’ve been researching this, but unable to find much. Thank you.

You can visit the Medicis' fortresses and Napoleon's houses. There are also a couple of ruins of Roman villas, but nothing much left of it (beautiful views though). Beaches are great but you are not going in summer. They have great fish, if you like seafood.
