My husband and I are planning a July 2015 trip to Italy . In looking at the Pope's schedule for July 2014, we noticed in July he only does St Peter's Square Angelus at noon (not his Wednesday 10:30 time that you can make reservations for). Is this what we should expect next year? Does anyone know how far ahead his schedule is posted? Is this his appearance at his apartment window? Where is that exactly? Thanks for your help!

There was a Wednesday audience scheduled in July 2014, but it was cancelled in advance of the date.
The schedule is not written in stone, so be prepared in case it doesn't work out.

The window is to the Pope's study. As you face St. Peter's, there is a building to its right. The top right window is the one where the Pope says the Angelus. You are more likely to find him doing the Angelus than a Wednesday audience in July--the Vatican goes pretty much on vacation. (With previous Popes, they'd be at Castel Gandalfo anyway).
He may also be traveling to other countries. Watch the news; follow the blog "Whispers in the Loggia"; and check the Vatican website for updates.
