Pope Francis has passed, Rome travelers in the next two months should examine itineraries

With his death, a process starts. There will likely be more visitors on top of Jubilee visitors, shortly the Sistine Chapel will close, and there may be other restrictions around Vatican City.

While it may throw a wrench in your plans, it is a fascinating time to be in Rome.
