Pompeii Tickets which one?

Im looking to buy Pompeii tickets in advance for October 12 but Im given three options. Which one do I choose? Are the 3 options just different entrances to Pompeii? And which one should I pick? Heres the link for the official ticket for Pompeii via their website. Thanks

Looks like either of the first 2- different entrances.

The third offering is a special exhibit within the complex- you would need one of the first 2 tickets offered PLUS ticket to the special exhibit
Cantiere della Casa di Orione e del Giardino
Construction site of the Casa di Orione and the Garden

Attention: To use this ticket it is necessary to proceed with the purchase of an entrance ticket to the Pompeii Archaeological Park:
- To buy your ticket for the entrance to the Archaeological Park from the entrance to Piazza Anfiteatro Click here
- To buy your ticket for the entrance to the Archaeological Park from the Porta Marina Superiore entrance Click here

When I was there five years ago, there was a ticket that was valid (once for each) at all five of the major archaological sites. I think you have five or six days to use it up. Most people won't have the time or desire to do this, but it saves money and time on line if you ARE going to more than, say, two sites. Note that all tickets are only valid once at each site. You cannot go out for lunch and get back in. (Only Pompeii Scavi has food inside.) So think about restaurant hours on the street in Herculaneum if you are going there.

Ed, how will you be arriving at the excavation? If you are coming via Circumvesuviana train to Pompei Scavi - Villa dei Misteri station, you'll be nearest the Porta Marina entrance. That is the MAIN entrance to the scavi, and a short walk from the train station.

Kathy,
We are arriving by private car from the Naples train station. I didn’t realize there were multiple entrances.

Ed
Are you touring on your own or meeting a guide? If guided, ask which entrance preferred.

That's OK, Ed. You're not the first to be confused! This map of the scavi may be helpful?

It'll give you an idea of how HUGE it is! Down in the lower left is the location of the Porta Marina Superiore entrance. See it? That's considered to be the main entrance as so many visitors arrive from the Circumvesuviana train station that's very close to it.

But I'd also go with Christine's advice to ask your guide where they'd prefer to meet you and to provide directions, if you've pre-arranged a tour.

Awesome thanks! We are not doing a guided tour just exploring on our own. We have 3 hrs to spend in Pompeii, and than our driver is gonna take us where we are staying in Positano. Should I do the Piazza Anfiteatro entrance since it seems like everyone goes to the Porta entrance? We’re going mid October so not sure how crowded it’s gonna be
