I am planning to take a tour from Sorrento in July with my teenage kids (it`s their first trip to Italy!) and trying to decide whether to do Pompeii only (half day) or include Mt. Vesuvius (full day). Having travelled to Italy in the summer several times, I know how hot it can get. I toured Pompeii a few years ago and the heat was almost unbearable! Just wondering if anyone has taken the tour which includes the Vesuvius in the summer and if they would recommend it. Thanks.
