Schedules and docks for the boats in Naples are here:

To Capri:

From Capri:

With 4 people, I'd take a taxi to/from whichever dock in Naples your chosen craft depart from/arrives to. Capri is not difficult to explore on your own, and you'll find lots of info on its tourism site (ignore the touts for tours). You'll find info on the Blue Grotto there as well, although it's not an attraction I personally recommend.

Day 2 - Pompeii - Mt. Vesuvius - Is it possible our self. Pls advice
how?

You can access both by Circumvesuviana train from Napoli Garibaldi station (it's connected to Napoli Centrale) to Pompei Scavi - Villa dei Misteri station. Be SURE to validate your train tickets before boarding!

You could also hire a private car to take you there and back. It'll be more expensive but some people feel that the convenience is worth it. I don't have a personal recommendation for a driver but I'm sure someone else will if you are interested?

This website has instructions on taking the bus from Pompeii to Mount Vesuvius: it's under "Sorrento to Mount Vesuvius". Do be aware that the buses or other vehicles cannot go all the way to the top so you'll have a 1/2 mile (800m.) walk from the drop-off point to the viewing area on a slippery, loose gravel path: be sure all of your "ladies" are in shape to handle the trek and altitude, and wear sturdy shoes...which you should wear for Pompeii's uneven surfaces anyway.

If you wish to take a tour at Pompeii, there are guides for hire available at the entrance. Also, this company (below) is often recommended by RS posters who've used them. You would take the Circumvesuviana from Naples to Pompeii as instructed above to meet up with your guide and rest of the group.

Just to confirm, you are NOT on a cruise ship port day in Naples?

We skipped Vesuvius. The last week of May can be plenty hot and sunny, so I would not rate it as "Easy" (quote from OP.) The past descriptions of cinder hiking on this newsboard (Search box top center. Even if you just scan the Subject lines on two pages of the newsboard, you'll find plenty.) were not appealing to us. Your interests may differ, but the point is that you can see the volcano from all around the area.

I'll agree with Tim on Vesuvius not being a good choice for everyone. We also felt it was a more poignant sight looming over the city it destroyed than needing to be ON the thing. As he pointed out, some visitors report having had trouble managing the path to the top and did not find it an "easy" go at all.
