Pompeii Luggage Storage

My family is stopping in Pompeii for a tour with Walks of Italy on our way back to Rome from the Amalfi Coast. We have a driver bringing us to the park entrance and have been advised to be dropped off at the Porta Marina Superiore entrance (upper entrance, not the lower turnstiles). Does anyone know if we can access bag storage at this location? I've heard there is luggage storage at the train station and at the park itself - but with multiple entrances to the Pompeii ruins, we want to make sure we have a place to safely store our bags and can meet our tour in a timely fashion (tour scheduled for 10AM).

Thank you!

Yes, Porta Marina Superiore is the main entrance to the scavi, and there is luggage storage there. You can see where it is located on this map:

Zoom in and look in the lower left area; you'll see "Porta Marina" and "Torre XIII" and quite a number of icons for services around that spot. The suitcase icon is bag storage. I might caution you not to bring LARGE bags if at all possible as there is a chance the storage room will be full, in which case you'll need to check them at the Circumvesuviana train station across the road (see the icon resembling a section of track).

I haven't checked current pricing at the train station but here is a related thread from last year:

I'm sorry I can't be more help, but I am also struggling with getting an answer on this as well.

Last year, July 2022, someone posted on this thread, that they had used some lockers at the Porta Marina entrance.

That said, I have found it pretty difficult to find information on the lockers otherwise. The official Pompeii website mentions a cloakroom. Most other resources also mention a cloakroom, but not lockers.

One article I found posted this picture, but it appears to be from 2018. But...I can't imagine them having lockers in 2018 and then downgrading to a cloakroom.

But then....why is there almost no information about the lockers to be found? It's bizarre.

I would assume the free storage is in lockers, as pictured in CheckoutSam's blog, and they're using the term "cloakroom" as a generic descriptor. It's not something that needs a lot of info; just plan to check your bags at the Porta Marina entrance or at paid storage in the train station.

Here is a little more on the storage situation at the scavi entrance (In French and Italian; use a translation tool):
