Pompeii Luggage

Hi all.
I have searched and nothing is super recent- still trying to figure out trains. Going in November to Italy. Staying in Naples, then going to Pompeii and immediately going to Rome. Someone had recommended on last post, just store stuff at hotel and go back- but it feels like that is quite a back track (I haven't been here, I could be wrong but it said 30 mins walking each way, or 8 min each way train). Our original plan had been to use the luggage storage at Pompeii or the train station. Is that still a possibility?

(I know we are going back to Naples, I just don't want to go back to the hotel...)

I would use the luggage storage at the Naples train station. It would save you from having to carry it two ways on the local train (Circumvesuviana) to Pompeii. I did this in June 2023.

That is a good idea. Do you have any details you can share? I'll look it up of course too.

We stopped at Pompeii on our way to Rome from Sorrento last summer. There are huge luggage lockers at the entrance to Pompeii. We had a big suitcase, and three smaller ones. We stored them all at the lockers on site. When we were done, we picked them up, walked across the street to the train station, Took the train from Pompeii to Naples, then the high-speed train to Rome. Worked like a charm!

The Circumvesuviana is notorious for pickpockets. In particular, they like to target tourists with luggage. I would store my luggage at the Naples train station instead.
