Would you please recommend a day tour to Pompeii from Rome.

I have had good luck with Viator Tours. Just google Viator Tours and put in the question area that you want a tour from Rome to Pompeii and they will show you several in different price ranges and length of time gone.

There were 5 of us on the tour. The Pompeii guide was fantastic. He came from a family of Pompeii guides, so had grown up with it and was very knowledgeable. His tour included a newly uncovered area that hardly anyone has seen yet.

In 2019 we did a day tour with City Wonders. It was more of a big bus style experience, compared with the RS Tour we had just finished. But everything ran smoothly and we also had a stop to hike up Vesuvius and a decent pizza lunch. The larger group was split into two smaller groups at Pompeii, where we had specialized guides. Overall I’d recommend.
