Looking for comments about the Pompeii Express, operated by Italiatours. It looks like it offers five hours in Pompeii plus train to and from Pompeii. Has anyone taken this and how did you like it?

You can do the trip yourself and hire a guide at the entrance for less
What time of year?
Not sure I would want 5 hours at Pompeii if it’s hot or rainy

That's a trip easier to do yourself since you don't have to wait longer than necessary to leave back to Rome in case you find yourself not enjoying Pompeii. There are guides inside Pompeii that you can hire if you want one.
