We will be staying in Sorrento and be moving on to Rome. We would like to stop in Pompeii for a tour. Does anyone know if they have a luggage hold in Pompeii either at the site or at the train station? Or would it be best to go early in the morning, return to the hotel, and then back to the train to Rome?

We stopped in Pompeii on our way from Rome to Sorrento. We checked all suitcases right next to the turnstiles at the Pompeii site for no charge - just at Rick's book said we could.

Seconding what Sam said. We left our luggage in the guard house by the turnstiles at the entrance to the grounds. Very convenient!
