So I have read some conflicting information, including on the Pompeii site regarding luggage.
In March, is it necessary to buy Pompeii tickets on-line to skip lines? Where is best place to store luggage? Site or train station coming from Sorrento.

There is no station a Pompeii, just a stop. There is luggage storage at the ticket area for Pompeii. We just bought tickets when we arrived. Not much of a line.

There is a left luggage facility at the Pompeii Scavi station. Follow the signs downstairs to the WC. It's located under the tracks. There is a small charge, €4,00.
