Mondo has two public tour flavors -- "for RS" and "endorsed by RS". For booking the difference is whether you go to the website sharedtours or sharedtrips

The link in the previous reply is to the tours "for RS" in which if 6 people sign up the tour goes, otherwise it will be cancelled. We looked and for the dates we could go they never had enough people on the signup lists (you can see the count online).

The 2nd flavor tours seem to be less prone to cancellation and this is what we ended up taking. The link is https://www.sharedtrips.com/shared-city-tours/pompeii There were only 5 people plus the guide. The Mondo guide was fanstastic, BTW

Contact Monetti Taxi. They offer shuttle service (they are based in Sorrento) to Pompei and will provide a guide too. I have used them twice in the past and actually have them booked for an upcoming trip.

Just make sure you don’t go on the free day. We went by mistake on that day and it was really crowded.
