I only have 3 -3.5 hours to see the town. I know, not enough time however, it's that or nothing.. My question, since I do not have a lot of time will I be able to see the cliffs, beaches etc and the city center and piazza or should I focus on one area only? I will be there the third week of September. Thanks

It is a very small town. You can get a good overview and have lunch with 3.5 hours.

Had a wonderful lunch (mussels) at Covo dei Saraceni in Polignano a Mare in 2010. It's right on the cliffs overlooking the water and access to the beach is a 6 minute walk away.
