Point to point taxi or driver Amalfi

I tried a Rick Steves private driver but they appear to be no longer in service.

My husband and I need an efficient way to get from Paestum to Ravello in late April. And then another trip from Ravello to the Naples train station a few days later.

Any recommendations?

When we stayed in Sorrento (a lower-end destination than Ravello, in general), we used our hotel's land arrangement partner. It seemed like they would have a big incentive to please the hotel's customers. We needed an 8 hour trip surveying the Amalfi Coast from our hotel. The hotel made and confirmed our trip, and it was charged to our hotel bill. We did the same for our transfer back to the Naples rail station. That second transfer was 90 Euros some years ago. I think it's closer to 130 or 140 today. I think you will find Paestum to Ravello to be very expensive.

In 2014 while staying in Sorrento we needed a driver to take a party of 6 to our families winery in Tramonti.
We found Mondo Tours in Rick Steves guide book.
We booked a full day, we were picked up at our hotel and were given a tour of the Amalfi Coast before heading to the winery.
It was a wonderful experience. In fact we were planning on taking the train to Assisi a few days later and decided to call them back to drive us instead.
Some contact info has changed, [email protected] I believe is in service.
Good luck and happy travels.

I would start by checking with your hotels for their recommendations.

In April 2022, we used My Day Trip for a longer trip in Italy, and they were excellent to deal with.

We also used Top Excursion, and they were also fine.

Time is more important than money. We only have 3 days in Ravello including the travel day. Although Rome2Rio says 1 hr with either car or combination of train and car.

Have you looked at going from Ravello to Salerno to get a train to Rome?

Rome2Rio says Ravello to Naples via car is only an hour. We’ve driven that direct route ourselves and it just seems like a very easy solution.

Ravello to Salerno is 32 min according to rome2rio (which is never quite accurate)

My advice above was a suggestion that might save you money on a driver
There are direct fast trains to Rome from Salerno and it’s a much smaller/easier station

Oh! Good point about a smaller station! You’re right, getting the train there would be easier than going back into Naples.

Thank you for great advice.
