PNR code on fast speed train

We booked 2 tickets on-line for a fast speed train from La Spezia to Rome with Trenitalia. When we finished the booking we were told we would receive an e-mail with our PNR code. We never received this e-mail even after we requested it several times. We did get a summary of our purchase with a retrieval code. Is this a PNR code? We also have a CP code. Is this a PNR code?

I have never had this problem, the ticket usually arrives in less than a minute. Use the retrieval code to get your ticket, I would print it out.

Did you check your spam folder?

No, the PNR code is called PNR, not CP or retrieval. You can't board your train without it.

Are you using a .net mail? If yes, you should try another one. Trenitalia has been having problems with .net mails for ages.

Since you probably registered, all you have to do is log in and have it re-send the email.

Thank you darioalb. We changed our e-mail to a .com e-mail and, sure enough, we got our ticket. Again...thanks for the advise.

I have a .net address and have never had a problem. You can call Trenitalia, agents speak English, but mind the time difference.
