Plus-Size Stores in Rome/Florence

This is stemming from a recent Graffiti Wall post. Does anyone know of any stores in Rome or Florence that sell plus-size clothing (size 16+) for women?
Thanks!

I am replying to MY OWN post from a year ago (woooow!) because I never got any replies. Maybe since then some of you have stumbled across an answer. I know when I went to Rome last September, I discovered "Sweet Shop" (I think it was the name) that sold plus-sized clothing. Also in Orvieto (Orvieto of all places!!) I found a shop where everything was 5 euro and most items went up to XXL. Anyway, any new locations? If not, I'll see you when I reincarnate this post 1 year from now :-)

Thanks for replying :) I did try google-ing it as various word combinations, but no success. In fact I am having a hard time find the shop I mentioned above and I know it exists! I'm just gonna have to do it the old fashioned way before google - go in stores I see and look. I think the H&M stores in Europe might have plus sizes.

I asked this question on Trip Advisor and got the following responses: You can find plus sizes at Diavolo Rosa which has a bigish store in Via Strozzi, after the arch connecting it to Piazza della Repubblica. If your budget is higher, Luisa Spagnoli also has plus sizes. They have a store opposite Diavolo Rosa and another one opposite Orsanmichele Marina Rinaldi (the plus-size line of Max Mara) and Elena Miro both have stores in Milan and Rome. Elena Miro have a range of boutiques all over Italy---there's one in Rimini too. They do upto a size 22 USA sizing. Last fall I never checked these out, but will probably try them this fall.
Buona fortuna.

Thanks MaryL! You were very helpful! I looked up those places and I'm as good as there! By the way, is there a phrase for "plus-size" in Italian? I mean, outside of going in a store and asking for clothes for "grasso" people, is there a phrase that encompasses larger sized people without being rude and insulting? Or would one just state the size number and call it a day? I usually just point at myself and they know what I need :-)
Just wondering...

As a plus-size woman - I should know this, as I am in that size group and I al studying italian .... but had to look it up on word reference. Here is their example: Ormai tutti i grandi magazzini hanno una sezione dedicata alle "taglie più" per le clienti dalla 48 in su. The sentence translates to now all of the large stores/malls have a section dedicated to the plus sizes for client over 48 (size). So the portion that applies is "taglie piu" which I think litterally translates as "cut more" which are sizes greater than 48. Also listed are taglie grandi, and taglie forti.
