Plot to blow up Rialto Bridge

So this happened:

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/30/world/europe/rialto-bridge-venice-arrests.html

My wife, son and I will be in Venice in just over six weeks, staying at Pensione Guerrato, which I believe is about 100 yards from the Rialto Bridge.

It's impossible not to think about the "what ifs" after seeing this news. But it is possible to say, as so many on this forum have said so many times in so many ways, "screw the terrorists."

We will not live in fear of insanity. We will go to Italy. We will walk across the Rialto Bridge on our first day in Venice.

We will live.

It was just a publicity plan by the cruise companies to enhance the visitor's experience by adding 72 virgins to the cruise package.

I agree that I won't let 'what ifs' keep me from traveling. I've stayed at Pensione Guerrato twice. FYI you should use the Rialto Mercado vaporetto stop, not the Rialto stop. Enjoy Venice!

What a bunch of evil morons! It's great that the Italian police were on the ball, and took care of them before any harm could be done. However, I'm sure there are more evil doers waiting in the wings. In any case, it won't stop me from going to Italy (or any other country).

Oh, this just makes me sick. You know, I will travel, but it still makes me wary. So thankful for hard working law enforcement. It's just amazing to me how many evil people there are.

I don't believe that either one, traveling or staying home, is a riskier option.
A "lone wolf" can strike anywhere, at anytime.
You aren't "living in fear" if you don't travel and stay home.

Just do what you normally do.
We still drive, yet every day people are killed in accidents.
