It can be a hostel, hotel, other. Basic, clean, safe. My husband will be there for 8 nights and he is on a VERY TIGHT BUDGET - think student, but will have his laptop and can't afford to lose it.

We stayed in a wonderful family run hotel called hotel trentino run by the santoro family. It was not far from the main sights, and the family was wonderful to us. They made calls to set up reservations, a hotel in venice, etc. In the morning they welcomed us into the kitchen for fresh capuccino, little sandwiches, and pastries. we would go back in a minute.

Try Hotel Corallo; I haven't stayed here but I have booked it for early June and it was 55 Euro a night double room
