Please give your recommendations for these Amalfi coast options

I have received tons of advice already, which I great appreciate . . . still trying to figure out the best places to visit within my time frame. Since I will be in Sorrento two nights and three days (the third night in Naples in order to catch an early morning flight). Weather permitting, I definitely want to go to Pompeii and AnaCapri to the top of Mt. Solero via the chairlift. I also want to take the ferry from Sorrento to Naples, not the bus or train. I am also interested in possibly taking the ferry back to Sorrento from Positano. Please rate the following for beauty and uniqueness, as my time will be limited and how much time you would recommend to allocate to each area, including the bus rides and ferry rides. I don't care about the shopping. I don't want to be too rushed, but I don't want to miss the most memorable attractions. I can forgo one or more options. I think that eliminating Ravello and Paestum may be be a good idea? I am not really sure how much time to allocate to the others, however, and if I should trim it down even more. Pompeii Sorrento Anacapri chairlift boat ride around Capri maybe Blue Grotto Positano Amalfi Ravello Paestum

Ruth, a couple of your activities will depend on weather (views from Anacapri and the Blue Grotto, for example). Lines at the Grotto can be long. The Amalfi Coast area has an Emerald Grotto, less well known, but a similar experience. In my experience, Pompeii can take a half-day, including transportation in and out, and can be done from Sorrento. Although I think Sorrento is a good base, I don't find much to do there - so relaxing moves up on the list. If you are going to Positano, you might want to give up Ravello. I love Paestum so I wouldn't give that up; since you are not planning to stay the night there, it would be a full day. It has a beach, and of course the Greek temples, a good small museum and mozzarella farms/factories. Transportation options are a little more limited (there's a train stop but no station so you'll need to get return tickets before you go). Paestum is served by regional trains, not fast or superfast ones. Depending on when you go, the beach can be relaxing or crowded. The Amalfi Coast by bus is a good option and you can get off in Positano to look around if you like.
