Please Comment on my itinerary

Hello all,

Can any one please comment on my itinerary please? This is my 1st time to Europe.

Reach Venice by 7:00AM (Night train from Munich). Get to the Hostel and start sight seeing by 10:00AM on Day 1
Day 1 (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM)– St. Mark's Basilica, Correr Museum, Doges Palace
Day 1 (3:00 PM to 7:00PM) - Rialto Bridge and market, Frari Church, Scuola San Rocco Museum
Day 1 (Rest of the day) – Just hang around
Day 2 (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM)– Murano Island or Burano Island (I know that each island might take a day for itself but my preference is just to see only the major sights)
Day 2 (Rest of the day) – Cannaregio, Accademia, Gondola Ride.

Day 3 – Leave for Pisa early in the morning and reach Pisa by 12:00 PM
Day 3 (12:00 PM to 7:00 PM) – The Cathedral, Baptistery, and Bell Tower
Day 3 – Catch the 8:30PM train to Rome.

Day 4 – Start by 10:00 PM
Day 4 – Get oriented to the neighborhood, National Museum of Rome and the nearby Baths of Diocletian, Dolce Vita Stroll
Day 5 - Caesar Shuffle, Night Walk Across Rome from Campo de' Fiori to the Spanish Steps
Day 5 - Vatican City: St. Peter's Basilica, climb the dome, Vatican Museum.
Day 6 - Catatombs, Just stroll through, shopping

Day 7 – Leave for switzerland. (Yet to plan the later part of trip.)

Can any one suggest some good hostels/ bed and breakfasts in Venice and Rome?
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Uday,

I agree with Kent is seems that you have done quite a bit of research already - good job!

The one thing I notice is that if Venice is your 1st stop (not sure if you are flying into Munich then heading straight to Venice) you have a lot planned for Day if you will be dealing with jetlag. The 2nd thing I wonder is if you have considered going to Florence instead of Pisa. Unless you have a burning desire to see the leaning tower I think most people on this forum (including myself) would recommend Florence over Pisa.

I don't know about hostels, but we stayed at, and I am putting my 22 y/o up at Pension Guerrato which is near the Rialto Bridge. Here's a link http://www.pensioneguerrato.it/

In Rome you should check out the Beehive http://www.the-beehive.com/

So you're arriving in Rome on Day 4 at 10 pm? Does your lodging allow for late check in? That could be the one catch.
