While this might not be the best direction, we're likely traveling in June from Amalfi Coast to Cinque Terre then flying out of Bologna. After staying in Sorrento as a base for Amalfi, we want to head to Cinque Terre but not sure if that's the best way to spend the last 5 nights of our trip. Are two nights in Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore) enough? If so, any other suggested places? Traveling with my husband and young adult sons. Mostly concerned that five nights is too much to spend in one place (Cinque Terre). Thanks in advance!

How much time will you have in Bologna? You might consider spending three nights in Cinque Terre and adding some time to Bologna, it's an interesting city with great food, and you can do a daytrip or two from there - Parma, Modena, Ravenna.
Or, spend those nights in Paestum before you go north to the Cinque Terre.
