planning to visit Italy in December and January

Hi,
I am planning to visit Italy in this December and January. Except Rome, what other destination you suggest?

Thanks

If you are going to do Rome, also do the Sorrento area. The further south you go the drier and warmer it will be. And there is alot to see if you use Sorrento as a base to explore Naples, Pompeii, and some of the local coastal towns.

We have done the "heel of the boot; Puglia", and loved it. Both Puglia and Sicily will be very quiet compared to Rome, with Sicily having the best chance of good weather.

Go to the Weather Undeground site and compare weather at all of the sites you may consider.

What are you interested in seeing? Without knowing that it's impossible to answer your question.

Well, I should say mix of sight seeing, historical sites, local cuisine, and etc. Actually I already saw Rome, so I prefer somewhere like Naples. I am not sure if it's a good choice for the Winter time. Any other nice place in South of Italy?

Thanks.

Is there any part in Italy that has a pleasant weather at that time of the year?
