Want to go to Capri, Sorrento, Amalfi & Pompei. Would appreciate suggestions of where to stay. Maybe use one location as a central spot. Names of B&B’s also would be great

I always stay, for 12 (or is it 14?) years now, in Sorrento at the Hotel il Nido (ilnido.it). It's above the city with spectacular views, best food in Sorrento, and a shuttle to take you to and from the city center. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Rick Steves covers this soooo well in his Italy guidebook. Do you have it? We think Sorrento makes a great base for all of these sites. If you have 3 full days you can allocate one to Pompeii, one to Capri, one to Amalfi and the coast between Sorrento and Amalfi, and enjoy Sorrento in the late afternoon and evening hours.
