Planning a day trip this summer from Catania to Acireale and Aci Trezza, and I’d love some input from anyone who has done it before.
Right now I’m considering two options:
Option 1:
Train from Catania to Acireale
Bus or taxi from Acireale to Aci Trezza
Then bus or taxi back to Acireale
Then train back to Catania
Option 2:
Train from Catania to Acireale
Bus or taxi from Acireale to Aci Trezza
Then bus all the way back to Catania
For anyone who has done this, which option makes more sense in real life? I’m trying to keep the day easy and not make the return too complicated. I’d also love to know whether the bus connections are reliable enough, or if it’s smarter to just use a taxi for part of it.
Any advice on what worked best for you would be really helpful.
