We are looking for a recommendation for a place to stay in the Tuscany region. We would love to taste wine and enjoy the wine from the region. We would also like to stay in an agriturismo. Thanks!

After reviewing www.tripadvisor.com, one of my favorite travel references, we have accommodations at Il Canto del Sole outside of Siena. the website is www.ilcantodelsole.com -- you might also check out tripadvisor for other travelers' choices.

My husband adn I stayed for a week at Cretaiole, which is near Pienza in Tuscany. Isabella and Carlo went far out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. On arrival we received a day-by-day suggestion of places to go, with hours and costs included (many of which were discounted for Cretaiole), markets open, museums, etc. The base price included lessons on olive oil taught by Carlo, who is on the Tuscan olive oil tasting board, a tour of their on-site etruscan tomb, a 3-hour pd. guide in Siena and the highlight, a class on making pici (a Tuscan noodle) by hand, followed by a large family-style dinner with their family. You must stay Sat-Fri. I cannot say enough about how great the experience was.
