Places to stay in Rome

In March, I will be landing in Rome for a seven day stay. My plane will arrive at 6:55 PM. I would like to stay in a typical "Rick Steves" location ( centrally located, good transportation connections, reasonably priced - 49 to 59 euros-, breakfast, wifi, english speaking managers). I have his book. I am concerned about finding the place at 10 pm after a long flight from the west coast of the US.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Frank

I think the price you mention is probably too low for a decent place to stay in Rome, but 95 Rooms in Rome in Monti is a bargain, I think I paid under $100 a night to stay there for five nights in October 2016. I think you should be able to get there by 9 p.m. if you take the train, then walk from Termini. Also as a general resource, I had good luck finding rooms in Italy on booking.com. For your price range you might consider hostels.

The Beehive has some inexpensive rooms and is convenient to Termini.

If your flight is late, consider springing for a taxi so you get Airport-to-door service. Eliminates unnecessary worrying. Cost is a flat 48 EURO.
