We're in the initial stages of planning a Fall trip to Italy. To all those who've stayed in Orvieto: Where did you stay? And why did you like it? Thanks so much! :)
We were in Orvieto this past October- 2nd visit.
We stayed at the Emme Palace Hotel. It is the old Aguila Bianca hotel completely and beautifully renovated, very good bkft, excellent location, lovely staff, parking.
Check out Ripa Medici. It’s a beautifully maintained property with a wonderful view of the valley below. We stayed in a small apartment on the ground floor with a comfortable bed and a little kitchenette. There is a family suite upstairs, too. We loved it and hope to go back soon.
We stayed at the Hotel Duomo Orvieto. We liked that our room was spacious and quiet, the breakfast was good, and the location was great (very close to the Duomo--although the historical centre of Orvieto is not very big, so I doubt there's a really bad location). https://www.orvietohotelduomo.com/en/
We stayed at La Magnolia Orvieto, a bed and breakfast.it was not fancy, but quite charming and well located.
A restaurant we really liked was Trattoria la Polomba.
I spent one night in Orvieto last September at La Magnolia B&B. Loved it. Wish I'd stayed longer.
Thanks everyone for the responses. We'll check them out! :) Linda
