Does anyone know of any nice air-conditioned places to stay in Orvieto? Looking to spend no more than 150 euro/night but would like to spend less.
Thanks in advance,
erin
I have booked a one night stay in July at the Hotel Corso, haven't been before but it appears to be a fairly good price in old town and decent location. You can check it out and see what you think.
We stayed at Hotel Corso in Orvieto several years ago and it's very convenient to the funicular that you take from the train station. It met all of our requirements: clean, quiet, good large bed, ensuite bathroom, good staff, elevator, and nice breakfast. The decent price was a big plus too!
I have stayed at Hotel Posta which I think is in constant renovation... Its not fancy but I really have liked the lady that runs the place. The location was great for us.
We stayed at Hotel Picchio last year for a few nights and it was a great place to stay. The prices were very reasonable for the family run hotel. It is located on a side street near the base of the historical section so it is convenient to the train station. The funicular doesn't cost much so it was well worth the short trip up the hill to the historical area in exchange for a more moderately priced place to stay.
