My husband & I will be traveling to Italy from Paris the last 2 weeks in September. I am looking for suggestions on hotels. Our budget is out $250/ night or less.

Will you have a car? I like Praiano, about halfway between Positano and Amalfi. Hotel La Maurella is a small, lovely hotel in the low part of town with a close-up sea view from every room. Free parking onsite. It's below your budget, but you can check it out on booking.com, great reviews.

In addition to these personal recs, Rick's Italy book describes several options each in the first two towns, but not in Ravello (probably because it requires an extra bus connection each day for people using public transportation).

Thanks for your replies...I ended up booking three nights at the La Maurella. I had actually seen this hotel several months ago and fell in love. Hopefully it's as nice as the reviews say it is!! Now for the rest of the trip!! So exciting yet so confusing.
